You know what... what got a problem... Kyler Murray just a deal worth $46,100,000 per season ($230.5M total / $160M in guaranteed money) and now we got to figure out a way to sign Lamar Jackson to a long term deal without breaking the bank DeCosta seriously has to think future as well.
Ravens will have $32 million in space to sign players next year. Just be happy we aren't the New Orleans Saints as they will be a whopping $70 million in the red for next year. The Chicago Bears next season are projected to have $90 MILLION... you read that right. $90 MILLION in cap space
How much would you say the Ravens will have to dish out to keep him around as a Raven?
I'd say it's going to take up to at least $40 million at the minimum, but at the maximum, maybe $52 million per season which at this point... That's ridiculous. Quarterbacks are making ridiculous money right now because yeah they have to be the leader of the offense. But again, you hear the critics whine and sniffle about how Lamar hasn't done this and that... We also have a very tough customer in his agent which is: His mother.
The pundits and haters are just trying to ruffle up Lamar Jackson's feathers for the season and that to me is just absolutely the WRONG THING TO DO because I think Lamar has certainly had enough of the critics.
Isn't this the same criticism that we saw when Joe Flacco was our quarterback? How the critics just rumbled on and on about how he didn't produce and so on.
Let's review:

Critics: We know that field goal wasn't good, plus the Ravens got favorable calls
Joe Flacco has the game of his life vs. Pittsburgh in 2011 with a game winning drive...
Critics: Elite? What? No way. He didn't do anything special.
Joe Flacco has the greatest playoff series of all time
Critics: He may have won a super bowl but he's not elite.
